Happiness you see, Braces you don’t! Lingual fixed appliances are fixed to the back side (inside) of your teeth. They cannot be removed and work 24/7 towards achieving a good result. Lingual braces are suitable for all age groups but are popular with adults where dental alignment and bite correction is required. The brace is custom made for each patient to maximise comfort and ensure precise results, this is achieved by using the latest computer technology when creating the brace.
The lingual braces we use are contoured to hug the lingual (tongue-side) surfaces of your teeth for optimal comfort, fit and performance. They have a very low profile so they are less likely to interfere with your speech.
For the first two weeks after your braces are put on, your tongue, lips and teeth may be sore, just as they would be with traditional braces. You will be given instructions from your orthodontist as to how to care for and adjust to your new braces.
